About Amberlee

While growing up in a small town of 800 in rural West Virginia, I was told from a young age that I was destined to be an artist.  Throughout high school I experimented with various arts and crafts; from drawing, to beaded jewelry, to stained glass.

In 2007, I graduated from WVU with dual Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in sculpture and photography.  After graduation I started working as an assistant photographer for Legacy Photographiques, before starting my own business.  We maintain a good relationship, and I still assist her with weddings.

I decided to pursue my interest in sculpture on a smaller scale, and completed Bench Jeweler Certification and Gem Setting courses at the American School of Jewelry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  During the week, you can find me working as a goldsmith for John P. Kuehn Fine Jewelers in Morgantown, WV.

My Life

My name really is Amberlee!  Not Amber with middle name Lee. :)  My mom will yell at you if she hears you call me Amber.

I'm 26, but don't let that fool ya, I've done a lot more in those 26 years than some 90 year olds!

My hubby and I are high school sweethearts. We were dating almost 10 years before we finally got married.

He knows that he is the second love of my life, the first being David Bowie.

I've been extraordinarily lucky to travel to over 8 countries. (Italy, Monaco, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, China, and to 21 of the states)

I drove on the autobahn going 140mph. (Ok it was only for like 10 seconds, but I still did it.)

I was in China for over a month with a WVU study abroad group for a painting class. We painted two weeks and traveled the rest of the time (so it was more of a photography class for me more than anything :) . I would love to go back, and one day will adopt a child from there.

I have been a  vegetarian for over 11 years.  I am the pickiest person ever when it comes to food  that you will probably ever meet, unless you meet my BFF Kelly.

I have a food texture issue...

I've seen over 150 bands in concert.

My hubby and I have three kitties...

I have an uncontrollable fear of Styrofoam... Well, at least the noise it makes.

I have some of the coolest and strangest friends!

And last but not least I have the coolest mama ever!
