On April 24, we had the opportunity (and immense pleasure) of photographing Patrisha and Kalani’s wedding at the beautiful Airlie Center in Warrenton, Va. This is one of those weddings where it’s difficult to pick one aspect of the day that we loved the most. Is it the gorgeous, wooded grounds of the venue with its stone walls and waterfall? Or the bride and groom’s emotional not-so-first-look? Perhaps it’s the delicious locally raised and grown food, or the mason jars with striped paper straws and handmade name tags used as escort cards. See what I mean?

Well we've still be moving and rearranging everything at the new office and have to say we are ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE! Heres a few pics I've done in the natural light studio! You can tell I've had a ton of kiddos in! :)

Guess where I am right now?! I bet you'll never guess! I'm sitting at my desk in my brand new office! Isn't that exciting?!?! Exciting and scary, let me tell you.

As many of you know, I interned with Legacy Photographiques prior to starting my own business. The owner, Debbie, and I have remained friends over the years and she recently approached me with an offer I couldn't refuse. When she and her husband decided to relocate to Arizona, she asked if I would like to move into her office/studio and offer photography services to her clients.

Amanda and GJ will soon have a little one to snuggle! They even decided to announce Amanda’s pregnancy to family and friends in a special way. We met for a photo session (how adorable are the three pairs of matching shoes?) and then we created an announcement card for them to mail. Here’s a look at some of their pictures …

Ready for some seriously gorgeous engagement pictures to warm you up on a chilly day?? Meet Lindsay and Matt!

We ventured to Lindsay’s family farm in Clarksburg to capture these beauties. Lindsay has all kinds of creative ideas in mind for her wedding – all with a rustic feel – and we wanted to make sure their engagement pictures followed the same theme.

I met Lauren and Jimmy a few months ago at WV Weddings 2012 Wedding Extravaganza! When they mentioned doing an engagement session in the snow and incorporating their love of snowboarding, I was hooked. Snowboarding + Photography + Love = Winning!

I take lot of photos... Lots.  For 2013 I want to take a few more for myself and actually edit and post them :)  I'm generally super nervous to even ask my friends if I can take a photo of them, believe it or not...  This year I'm going to change that.  I want to take photos of all the people, places, and things that make me smile ear to ear!

First on #amberleessunshinehappiness&rainbows list is my awesomely, amazing, super talented, Amberlee maintainer (quite possibly one of hardest jobs on planet), and assistant extraordinaire--- Lindsay!

Tomorrow at 9 a.m. I will be saying goodbye to a five-year marriage and the romantic relationship I’ve known for over half of my life. I’m not a quitter and this has been one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make, but I know deep down it’s the right thing to do.
