Engagement Photography

As a wedding photographer, I believe every couple should have engagement pictures taken. Not only do they make great keepsakes, but the e-session is a great way for us to get acquainted without wedding-day pressure. Unless you were born a natural, chances are you probably don't feel completely comfortable in front of a camera. Having an engagement session can help change that!

Below are answers to several frequently asked questions:

Should we have an engagement session?
Absolutely! The engagement session is actually something I prefer for all of my wedding clients - that's why it's built into each package. It's a great opportunity for me, as your photographer, to get to know you as a couple (and vice versa). It also gives you the chance to become comfortable with the camera in a fun and relaxed environment.

Where should we have our session?
Think of places that are important to you. Where did you first meet? Share your first kiss? Spend a lot of time while dating? If you have a theme in mind, we can do that too. Most importantly, let me know if you're having trouble coming up with places. We'll work together to find a spot or two that speaks to you.

How should we dress?
Wear clothes that make you feel amazing! Comfortable, chic, fun, and sexy are all great words to help inspire your selections. If you're looking for some variety, feel free to bring a change of clothes.

What happens during our session?
We'll meet at your selected location - whether it's of personal significance or just visually appealing. We'll take the first few minutes to talk about ideas; I'll find good light, and then we'll jump right in. Have fun. Play. Snuggle. Kiss. Be in love. Above all, just be yourselves.

How long will our session last?
Sessions last approximately two hours.
