HAPPY 4th EVERYONE!

This is the reason I haven't been putting a lot of blogs up lately...  My other job :)  So last winter I was going stir crazy not doing a lot of photoshoots and such, so I just happened to check out the news paper and see what jobs were around town, and there it was!! Goldsmith apprentice.   For those of you that dont know,  I graduated WVU with two degrees.  One in photography and one in sculpture.  Mind you I made big sculptures...  So now doing tiny works of art is completly different, but this was an awesome job oppertunity for me.  When I started I polished, cleaned, and checked things out, but shortly the goldsmith that was working there moved away to PA.  So then I hopped in a car, drove to Florida, and started taking goldsmith classes for about a month....  So on and so on...  I had to go back to FLA once more to take a diamond setting class and now I've taken over completly for the best fine jeweler in the world!  Ok I think its the best anyways!

As I said its the coolest job ever, well besides my photography business of course.

Well anyways heres some pictures of some of the things I've been working on. (All the pictures were taken with my handy dandy point and shoot, so they aren't the best of the best, but they work for this)   Included in the pictures: 8 carat total weight diamond necklace I made, 4 carat ring, and multiple other sparklies Ive been working on.

Now that its summer things are starting to slow down at the shop, so look for my own line of jewelry soon! :)
