Jenna + Bill = Married!

Meet Jenna and Bill!

Endless amount of music, 8,000 photos, 1,700 miles, 9 states, and 2 crazy photogs.

The destinations are set and the Pandora playlists are ready! We’re hitting the road for two weeks in September and our journey may bring us to a city near you. From Sept. 1-16, we’ll travel 1,700 miles through nine states and take at least 8,000 photos. Whew! I’m tired just thinking about it. But, we’re super pumped to be photographing a wedding in Wilmington, Del., an engagement session on the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Conn, and a wedding in Harrisonburg, Va!

Check out this handy-dandy map we created of our travel route:

It’s the final countdown!

I think I can officially call myself a seasoned traveler. I visited two continents, 14 cities, 10 states, and flew in 20 airplanes during the off-season. It was a wonderful and sometimes relaxing vacation. Almost too wonderful because all play and no work made me want to play even more.

Even though I was reluctant to shift back into work mode, I knew I didn’t have a choice. So I put my foot on the gas and didn’t look back. I’ve been going a mile a minute this week and my clean house, three wedding client meetings, multiple photo shoots, and completed projects are proof of it.

I am so excited to do a few sneak peaks from Erin & Scotts wedding!  It was such an amazing day!

Erin & Scott live in California, so I didn't get to meet either one of them until their wedding day!  I always worry when I don't get to meet people before, but I have to say they were absolutely one of the nicest couples!  I started the day with everyone getting ready at Erin's parents house.  Her entire family was so welcoming!  I totally felt like I fit right in with them and had known them forever!

The ceremony was held at   Green Gables in Jennerstown, Pennsylvania.  I shot a fall wedding there a few years ago and absolutely fell in love with the venue!  It is just as amazing in the summer!  I was a little sad this time that I didn't get a photo of a ghost...  Well atleast the photos I've been through so far I haven't seen one!  :)

Congratulations Erin & Scott!  I hope you are having a great time on your honeymoon!  I almost came back to get in your suitcase with you!  :)  Thanks so much for such a beautiful wedding and welcoming us like you did!

1 year ago today I was thinking... Wow, what have I done?

It was a couple of days after I quit working as a full time goldsmith and decided to go full force into photography. The thoughts were racing through my head at a million miles an hour: Was I making the right decision? Would I still be able to pay the bills? I'm sure a lot of people thought I was crazy... To tell you the truth, I think I was a little crazy!

Sunday I photographed one of my college friends wedding at the amazing Green Gables Restaurant in Boswell, Pennsylvania (I highly recommend this absolutely stunning venue!).  Lily and I met when we took a ceramics class a few years ago together at WVU.  Now that we've graduated we hardly ever see each other unless we are driving down the road!  It was really to meet her family and photograph her fabulous day!

A few quick announcements.

Just a few quick announcements... I am going to only be accepting one portrait client a week for the next few weeks. I have about 9 weddings in the next 11 weeks, we just bought a house, and I'm also a goldsmith full time, so I'd rather make sure I'm putting out quality images rather than quantity. I will have a little wiggle room for newborns, since they are only that little and smoochy for a few days :) Definitely give me a call if you want to schedule something! .... Click here for more

I can not express how excited I am that my wedding season starts in less than a month!!!!! I can't wait to use all the new equipment I've gotten over the past few months! I loved my D200, but now that I got a D300, I cannot believe the amazing difference in quality!

This is Andrew & Kate, and I cannot wait until their wedding! They are such a fun, and awesome couple.   Just to start - they are having a green wedding, with a bunch of vegan food, amazing cupcakes, a grilled cheese station with what I was told "stinky cheese" :), and we are going to set up a fun photo booth! Its going to be really fun!  Did I mention that Kate is also an awesome artist??  She is doing an art piece of my hubbie and myself for us!  I can't wait to see it!!

We all went up to view the venue and see how everything was going to be set up a couple of weekends ago. I do have to say the Christian W. Klay Winery is an absolutly beautiful place, even when its pouring down the rain!  We were lucky enough that it started clearing up around the end of our visit and I got some great photos!   Enjoy!
